Kristen,

I don't know if you remember me or not but I used to be the youth pastor at your Mrs marsheila's church. I told her I would call you but then the more I thought about it, the more odd I thought that would be. So I will leave you something here. I am thankful that you are getting close to the Lord. You need to call in your area and see if any of the churches could pick you up and take you to church. The one nearest you that is a real good church is Peoples Baptist Church Pastor David Mccoy. I am sorry to hear that Matthew is doing what he is doing, and we do have you all on our prayer list. Once you get in a good church see if you can meet with ths Pastor and tell him what is going on. It is one thing pray like you never have before but it is another thing to get under some sound preaching. One other thing I would like to give you and we are believing God will bring Matthew back but you must prepare that is won't happen. You need to make a decision in you heart if God brings Matthew back that you are going to faithful to him inspite of what Matthew does, and if God doesn't bring him back then you must decide that you and your son are going to serve God. I believe prayer changes things but things change in God's timing not ours. Please if I can help you let me know. Again you are on our Prayer List at the church and I will again make mention to our church on Wednesday night. Keep Jesus First in your life and he will get you through any storm that you may go through. God Bless You!!

Hi Kristen....

This is Sis. Julie...the pastor's wife at Eagles View Baptist Church. I can tell you that God is faithful!! I'm thankful that you are praying and seeking God like you have never done before. Bro. Tim is right...you do need to get into a church near where you live and hear good sound preaching. The preaching will help you and the fellowship with other believers will encourage you.

I have been where you are now. My husband left me before I got saved. He had left me for someone else and it devastated me. God used that horrible time to bring me to Him though. Through that terrible time I got saved and began praying for my husband. God began to work as others were helping me pray for him. He eventually came home to me and my three children. He didn't come home for me though.

Go to my blog over at Julie's Jewels...the link is on Sis. Marsheila's blog and read my testimony. I go into detail about it there.

We're praying for you and Matthew and Ethan.

Kristen,

Prayers aren't enough, honey. If your husband's cheating, you need to look within yourself and see why he might have been led in that direction. Bottom line, men are simple creatures and you, as a woman, need to take control of the situation and responsiblity for the actions you've done. Because as we all know, this didn't just happen because your husband wanted to be with another woman. Affairs are the result of a multitude of factors.

a.) Maybe you made a mistake and married a bad man.
b.) Maybe you haven't been giving him the love and attention that he needs. (ie. not bitching all the time or focusing too much on your child.)

I recommend "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands," "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage" and "10 Stupid Things Women Do to Mess Up Their Lives." All of these are by Dr. Laura Schlessinger.

I also think acting like a charity case (on an Internet blog where everyone can see your dirty laundry) makes you look weak. Stop the lamenting. You're a mom and you need to get control of your life.
